My sister-in-law gets veggies from misfits and gave me some recently. My brain tells me it looks "bad" but they taste the same and taste just fine. Mind over matter....or in this case, matter over mind!

    Cooking Cook Just Enough
We often worry about running out of food so we make too much. What thoughts and feelings have come up when you make just the right amount to eat up all the food?

Honestly? I feel like I didn't make enough and that my family may be leaving the table hungry since I didn't make "enough" food. Probably why I tend to over cook meals when the whole family is there.

Try making things that you can repurpose in another meal if there are leftovers. If you have one item leftover such as some veggies or protein, maybe you could turn it into another meal the next day!

I have been trying to do online order pick up to stop impulse buying. That has been going well, but I found that I was adding things to my order that were in the "recommended" section that I didn't need. I still do it from time to time, but I am at least aware that I do it now and have been trying not to do that.

Shopping Stick to Your Grocery List
What are some of the things you typically buy that you weren't on your list? How do you think you might limit some of those purchases?

Cheese and refrigerator biscuits. I need to stick to purchasing these items only when I need them, not when they are on sale. Buying them on sale and throwing them away isn't cost effective either.

Bread! I'm going to start freezing half when I buy it.

I do that. Especially buying from specialty places that don't use preservatives, and for $6 or $7 a loaf, you want to get every last crumb with no mold!
