I just pulled this from my garden and it is going into my meal this evening. The tomatoes, green onions and basil hidden behind the lambsquarters ( a superior foraged green that grows everywhere). It along with the cucumber and reed beet is going into my salad. I have been so grateful for these veggies. Despite some plants dying off due to the abundance of water we are still having a good yield and hope that this last into October.

I got a bag of pears from my Mother In Law, she has apple trees and pear trees. They aren't very big. Today I cut the bad part off and boiled them with butter, cinnamon, frozen strawberries. I added Chia seeds and shredded coconut meat. serve warm with a bit of honey or ice cream.

That sounds like a yummy dish! I love the coconut meat idea! I'll have to try that when I get back from traveling. I hope our tree will still be producing!

The salad has gotten to the point where some of it decaying. Nothing a good soak and cleaning won't help. Took the last of our salad and left over veggies combined the veggies to a soup base and placed the clean salad on the side to eat along with my soup. Saving remanences of veggies is wat we do best.

Hello , I took all of the foods from my refrigerator and those items that were old I placed in our compost pile. Not much waste but it is still nice to have it going back into the earth by composting.
