The fresh produce - It is locally grown and travels less to get to me - so fresher and smaller carbon foot print.

Planning Create a Weekly Meal Plan
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money? How has meal planning helped you avoid waste?

This is not surprising and I probably throw out more than the average person. since meal planning, I do not shop for the whole week, but rather I now buy for breakfast and lunch and make multiple trips to the grocery store so that I do not waste food.

I meal prep on Sundays so that I have meals to grab throughout the week for lunches. I fall down when it comes to dinners.
