Turnips and other uncommon veggies from the grocery store that are local were difficult, but I've been more exploratory and they are move willing to try now than they were at the beginning of the month.

There has been a lot more produce this year because of all the rain we have gotten. It's really nice to have the kids go collect ripe veggies and cook them up as fresh as it gets!

I made raspberry jam from my raspberry bushes, and salsa from the tomatoes and jalapenos I grew this year! Next year I want to make pickles.

I had leftover jasmine rice from a meal, so I made it into fried rice. My kids loved it and it was an easy way to use up the leftovers
